Measurement points in a typical pharmaceutical cleanroom monitoring application would normally be grouped by production area with the "Location" tag for each point identifying the machine that is being monitored. Assume you have been assigned to a single production area with a single filling machine. A page similar to the one shown below would be displayed when you log onto the CIMScan system.

A trend chart (value vs. time) can be easily displayed by selecting one or more monitoring points [1] and selecting "Trend Chart" from the "Actions" dropdown list.
Alarm Acknowledgment & User Notes
Whenever alarms are displayed they must be Acknowledged along with an Assignable Cause.

The same general mechanism is used to enter free-form user notes and link them to one or more monitoring points.
A Multiple Group Status page will be displayed [1] on login for users who have been assigned to more than one group. From there, you can access any one of the groups by simply selecting it from the list [2].

- The current values, alarm status, and time of the last update for all the monitoring points are available. You can select one or more points and generate a Trend Chart or Print a Report using the Actions dropdown list.
- You can see all the monitoring points in alarm by looking at the alarm list. You can acknowledge alarms by selecting the monitoring point from the list and clicking on “Acknowledge” in the Actions dropdown list.
- A page can be displayed containing the floor plan of the area being monitored with alarm indicators for each sensor.
- Users can click on the “Help” menu to download one of the user’s manuals in PDF format.
- Clicking on the “Reports” menu will allow you to select the type of report to print. This will display a form where you can specify the monitoring points to be included in the report as well as the starting and ending times.
Clicking on the "Reports" menu will display a list of the available reports. A brief description of each report is shown below.
